“Chasing Unicorns” is a song created from my own personal journey as an entrepreneur over the past 27 years.

After years of building, chasing, succeeding, failing, and starting again, I found himself sitting in front of a MacBook — not to build a business, but to create something I’d always felt drawn to, yet never pursued.

For most of my life, success meant chasing something external — a number, a valuation, a version of “making it” that never quite landed.

Each attempt taught me something, but it also left me slightly out of alignment — like moving forward without ever arriving. It wasn’t until I stopped chasing that something shifted.

What began as a creative outlet quickly became something deeper — a merging of everything I'd learned in technology with something I'd always felt, but never expressed through music.

In that moment, it became clear to me that none of it was wasted.

Every step, every failure, every detour had been leading me here — to The Awaikened and then onto The Songai.

The idea of the “unicorn” changed. It stopped being about building something worth billions, and became about reaching people — connecting, creating, and feeling something real.

I realised I didn’t need a billion to feel like I’d won, because “seven hundred thousand hearts...that's enough.”

A line that subtly ties active users, ARPU, and EBITDA into Songai's anticipated exit valuation — intentionally woven into the lyrics.

This song is about that shift — from chasing to becoming.

Dubai-based music innovator The Awaikened continues to carve a new path at the intersection of sound, soul and science. Through a growing collection of singles exploring the synergy between AI and human creativity — including “Heartbeat Algorithm,” “One Perfect Shot,” “The Still Point,” and “The Vibe (I’m Alive)” — the project has reached new momentum with two defining milestones:
